1. The FIRST way to save money on decor is to take your time and plan out enough time to collect your decor. I will be planning my wedding for two years and the reason why, is because the longer I have to plan, the more time I have to find deals. The more time you have, the better your chances are that you will find that special item you are looking for without purchasing it for full price. (NEVER PAY FULL PRICE FOR ANYTHING) 2. The SECOND way to save is by attending a FANCY FLIP EVENT. These events are put on for brides who want to resell their decor from their wedding. The brides want to get rid of their decor and we get to take advantage of all of the awesome deals. Fancy Flip Events travels all over the U.S. hosting these events so you can easily find an event near you by going to www.fancyflipevents.com. Tickets go on sale a few days before the event and they even post pics of what some of the brides will be selling. Below are some pics (items labeled (FF)) of some of the steals that I got at my first event. I will be attending the Lexington, KY event on Sept 9th and I can't wait to finish off my decor! Three bags of flowers $0 (FF) Lace lanterns $1 a piece (FF) 10 white plates $5 (FF) shown below and above Garland 25 cents- Yard Sale 20 chargers $15- Yard Sale (See below how these were free) Flowers $3- Yard Sale Gold vases $4- Goodwill) (PSST... These gold vases had a Hobby Lobby price tag on them for $19.99 when I went into Hobby Lobby I saw them sitting on the self! What a steal, getting these at Goodwill for $2 a piece.) FREE after reselling the flowers that did not match and the two 3 Vases $1- Yard Sale giant 10" styrofoam balls that came with it. I sold it all for $25 Candle & stands- $1- which was the price I paid for the two giant flower bouquets and Yard Sale was able to keep all the flowers above for free. My two tips for attending a Fancy Flip Event would be to purchase the Early bird tickets so that you get the first choice all the decor. My second tip would be to stay for the entire event. The prices drop later in the day because the brides do not want to take their stuff home. I scored three bags of flowers for only $25 then was able to sell the ones that were not my colors for $10 and the giant styrofoam balls for $15. So basically, I got my flowers for free!! Make sure that you resell your items at the event after your wedding, I know I will. Two tier gold stand $1 -(FF) White jug $1- (FF) Love is sweet sign $2- (FF) Cake cutter and server $2 30 LED candles $5 -(FF) Mrs & Mrs balloons $3- Yard Gold straws $1- (FF) 5 unopened glass table Sale Candles $2- Yard Sale numbers $5- (FF) Wedding Thank You cards $1- Candle stands $3 Yard Sale Yard Sale Cake stand $10 Yard Sale All other balloons- $0 won in Utensile holder- $5 Facebook Marketplace a giveaway contest 3. The THIRD tip is to yard sale your heart out. Every Saturday morning, I go to neighborhood/ community yard sales to find wedding decor and home decor. I have had amazing success and love that fact that I can haggle in order to get the price I want. I have been to several yard sales where they are selling a lot of wedding decor. Do not be afraid to attend a yard sale, I find them to be so much fun and addicting to go on the hunt for treasure. Arrow 25 cents- Yard Sale Card box $10- Facebook marketplace 3 Bottles $1 Yard Sale Large Bowl and 4 small 4 bags of bottles $0 Yard Sale below $5-Goodwill Lace- $1 Yard Sale Candle decor $4- Goodwilll 4. If you do not feel comfortable going to yard sales, then I would suggest dropping into a Goodwill or any thrift store. The prices will be a little higher than a yard sale but not by much and you get the benefits of staying out of the heat. I have found some of my best decor at Goodwill. I literally go to as many local thrift stores as I can find over the weekend since new items come in daily. Goodwill also does the color of the day, meaning whatever the color is that day, you receive half off of your item that has that color tag. On Sundays the color of the day are only 99 cents but make sure you go early on Sundays because these items go fast. 9 small bowls and one med $10- Lace table cloth $2.50- Goodwill XL bowl $4- Goodwill Goodwill Candle stick 10 cents- Yard Sale Tray- $1 Yard Sale 3 bags of wine bottles $0 Yard Sale 5. The FIFTH tip I have is to DIY some of your decor. Think outside the box and do not follow the crowd. When you design things on your own, you can create items for far less than what you would purchase them at in a store for or by renting. Do your research, Youtube has tons of affordable DIY projects. You can see two of my DIY projects below. Cork Guest Book: $7 I took the flowers out of my vase and hot glued some lace that I got from a yard sale to the rim. I purchased a grey wooden case to put to put the unsigned corks in. The interior lid of the box is chalk board so I will use my calligraphy skills to add text that say's "Please Sign a Cork". I will purchase a rose gold marker or something similar for the the guest to use to sign a cork. This entire guest book set up only cost me $7 and it came with free flowers to use in my decor. White Pom Pom's: 89 cents for two I took two of my free lantern and hot glued coffee filters all over them. If you youtube how to make wedding flowers out of coffee filters, you will find how easy they are to make. I plan on making a giant back drop/ flower wall with coffee filters in the future to go behind my wedding cake table. Two of these cost me 89 cents and the flower wall will only cost $20 to construct. Cork $0- Yard Sale Chalk board chest $1 Yard Sale Lanterns $0- At Home Store Vase full of flowers $5 employee gave them to me Lace $2- Yard Sale for free 30 votives $1 for all- Yard Sale (They were full of candle wax so I decided to freeze them and pop out the wax. They look like new and I will fill them with 30 of my $5 LED candles. The total cost will be $6) 6. My SIXTH and final tip would be to enter wedding giveaway contest on social media. You never know what you could win. We won this custom authentic Bourbon barrel head on Instagram a $90 value! Hunting for decor takes time, but I believe it is worth it. I enjoy the thrills of finding deals and hope you will as well. Comment below some of your favorite thrift store or yard sale finds. I would love to know what treasure's you were able to find. So far, I have only spent $130 total on wedding decor and I set my budget at $200.

Weight loss has always been a struggle for me, I have always found myself in an endless battle of restriction and bingeing due to being overly restrictive. I also started working in the real world after college and begun putting on the pounds from sitting at my desk at work for hours upon hours. Not only do I work a 10 hour shift at work, but I also have an hour drive into work and an hour drive home. I am a blogger and influencer so on the weekends, I spend even more time sitting and working. How is anyone working 3-4 jobs like me, supposed to lose weight when I am forced to sit all day? Well, I found the solution to not only my diet but also to my problem of sitting all day. I will go over the diet portion in another blog but today I want to talk about Flexispot.
Flexispot is my brand new desk for working at home, it is a standing desk but more excitingly, it is an exercise bike. Yes, your heard me correctly an exercise bike. This bike has a huge table as shown below to hold your laptop, book or whatever you need to do while riding. It also comes with a cup holder incase you decide to crank up the intensity on the bike. The intensity level goes from 1-10 and the bike keeps track of your time, distance, calories burned and more. The desk is easily adjustable and has a padded comfort seat and peddle covers. it also has an arm rest that makes it easy to type while riding. I am so impressed with this bike and really wish that I had found this years ago. I am already noticing weight loss from using this bike and yes, I am using it now as I work on this blog post. I wanted to share a little secret, Flexispot will have their V9 BIKE ON SALE FOR 30% OFF TOMORROW ONLY 7/16/18!!! If you are like me and need to get off your butt, do not miss your chance to get rid of every excuse for why your can't lose weight. The bike will be on sale for $349.99 (originally $499.99).
